The role gave me a lot of scope to perform and satisfaction as an actress. It wasn''t the usual kind of role, in which the actress is just a pretty face in the film. I knew I was doing a villain''s role when I took it up, and portrayed it to the best of my ability.<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">Your hard work has shown in the success of </span><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="" font-style:="" italic="">Jism.</span><span style="" font-weight:="" bold=""> Did it ever cross your mind that you would be nominated in this category?</span><br /><br />No, when I''m doing a film, I don''t think about awards. Obviously, I want the film to do well and I would like to be appreciated as an actress. For me, the Filmfare nomination in itself is a great reward, and I''m happy with it.<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">If you were the judge and asked to select one from the remaining four nominees in your category, whom would you chose as the winner?</span><br /><br />Maybe I''d select Irfan Khan and myself. My role was so different from the run-of-the-mill roles actresses do, and it has been well appreciated. And Irfan Khan has done a great job in <span style="" font-style:="" italic="">Haasil</span>. I''m also working with him in two films and I think he is a wonderful person and knows his job very well.<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">If one goes by the box-office success of the films in the fray, whom do you expect to win?</span><br /><br />I don''t know whether I should answer this question! But I am certainly happy about my nomination. As for winning the award, I''ll leave that to the judges to decide.<br /><br /><span style="" font-weight:="" bold="">If you win, how do you plan to celebrate?</span><br /><br />That would be jumping the gun, wouldn''t it? I''d rather wait and see if I win the award first.
